What is GPS?

GPS (Global Positioning Systems) allow you to easily determine where you are, practically anywhere on the planet. Updates to the maps on your navigation products are important to ensure that you have the freshest, most relevant travel information possible. Depending on your system, you can either update maps with updated map discs, or by downloading new maps into your system's built-in memory.

What is a POI?

POI stands for Point of Interest. POIs can be restaurants, gas stations, airports, hotels, tourist attractions or any number of places or facilities you may want to find. Your system comes loaded with a wide range of business and leisure POI destination names and addresses, usually sorted by category, location and name, so that if you're looking for a specific kind of cuisine, or know the exact museum name, or just want to find any gas station, you'll be able to choose what you need.
